Culinary Programs The Art Institute of Tucson is located in one of the most beautiful areas of the country - Tucson, Arizona. Tucson is a fast-growing, progressive metropolitan area with an incredibly rich cultural heritage. Arizona, also known as the Grand Canyon state, today combines the cultures of the United States and Mexico with continued influence from past settlement by Native Americans, Spanish explorers, and Anglo frontiersmen. The result is a diverse mix of people, architecture, food, and communities that serve as a catalyst for inspiring our students' creativity.

Our students study Design, Media Arts, and Culinary among postcard images of the deserts and mountains. With all of the city life amenities and natural beauty found in Tucson, The Art Institute of Tucson provides our students with the perfect backdrop for an art and design education.

Culinary Programs Offered:

Baking & Pastry

In the Baking & Pastry program, you’ll gain hands-on baking skills. Emphasis is placed on fundamental pastry and bread-baking techniques, in addition to all-purpose baking, desserts, cake decoration, and pastry arts. To complement your culinary techniques, you’ll learn critical thinking and business essentials. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).

Culinary Arts

In the Culinary Arts program, you’ll have an opportunity to gain practical experience in the kitchen while studying the business of cost control, sanitation and safety, menu and beverage management, nutrition, and kitchen management. You’ll have an opportunity to learn to produce food quickly and in quantity while working with others. Graduates are prepared to seek entry-level employment such as line cook and pantry cook (garde manger).
